King Kong Queen Mother Busted! �For Smashing Head Of Farmer, 35

THE QUEEN mother of Obodan, a farming community in the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality of the Eastern region, Nana Oforiwaa Gyanwaa has been arrested for allegedly smashing the head of a thirty-year-old farmer with an object. The victim, Eric Anof, has since been treated and discharged by the Nsawam Government Hospital. Meanwhile, the police have granted bail to the queen mother, while investigation is underway. According to the victim, the queen mother hired them to clear a refuse dumping site to pave way for construction works on the piece of land. He said during the process of clearing the land, some plantain and banana trees belonging to the queen mother were cut off as instructed. However, a few days later, he alleged that the queen mother became furious that the victim cut down some of her plantain trees and as a result announced through the information center public address system that, he( the victim ) is wanted by the queen mother in her house. The victim said when she went the following day, the queen mother first ordered her to kneel which he obliged but to her surprise, the queen mother smashed his head with an unknown implement resulting in deep wound with blood gushing out. He continued that, an attempt to question the action of the queen mother was met with threat to invoke dirty curse on the victim which compelled him to rush to the police station to lodge a complaint. He said, doctors at Nsawam Hospital stitched the wounded head and plastered. Speaking to the DAILY HERITAGE, the station officer of Obodan police station, Inspector Samuel Ahiakunu explained that, the victim distressfully stormed the police station on Saturday morning with blood gushing out from the head and blood stains on the dress. He said the police took the statement of the victim and subsequently issued medical forms for treatment at Nsawam government hospital having first aid to stop the blood from gushing out. Inspector Ahiakunu explained that the queen mother was arrested and after taking her statement, was granted police enquiry bail. Meanwhile, according to him, the police have commenced investigations into the matter.
