AMA City Guard Assaults Pastor

A city guard of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly has allegedly assaulted a pastor at Achimota Mile 7 for disturbing public peace. The victim, Pastor Asempa Agyapong sustained injuries in his eyes, lips and bled through his nose after the assault. Narrating his ordeal to Oman News, Pastor Asempa Agyapong said the AMA city guard, whose name he gave as Nico subjected him to severe beatings after he [pastor] failed to heed to his order to vacate the place. Pastor Agyapong suspects the unprovoked attack was because he was preaching about the end-time and believes Nico disagreed with the doctrine. After several failed attempts to get him out of the place, the pastor said Nico called for re-enforcement from the Ga Municipal Assembly at Amasaman. The guards numbering about five came in a van and confiscated all my machines including my bible he added. The distraught man of God said he reported the matter at the Mile 7 police station and was given a medical form to go to the hospital. Asempa Agyapong said he is still receiving treatment because he does not see properly after the assault.
