Ave-Havi Residents Search For Chief's Wife And Son

Residents of Ave-Havi, in the Akatsi North District, have mounted a search for Madam Evelyn Poworn and her baby, who have gone missing since January 4. Madam Poworn is the wife of Mr. Frank Agbavor, Regent of the Torgbui Agbavor Stool of Ave-Havi, and they both have three children, including the youngest one, called Daniel, who is missing together with the mother. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Ave-Havi, Mr Agbavor said, he was out of town for a week conference in Ho, and returned home just to meet the absence of her wife and son. He said he had tried his best with the community to search for them, but all to no avail, adding, "We have informed the police and made several announcements on radio stations in the area, but cannot get them still". He has, therefore, made a passionate appeal to the general public to assist him locate his wife and baby. According to him, he never had any trouble with his wife, and wondered why she could leave home without his knowledge, adding, "My wife is very hardworking and respectful, and we love each other, Please, help me to find her and my son." He said, his wife, Evelyn, speaks Ewe and English with a Liberian accent. Regent Agbavor believes she may be around Aflao, Dzodze, Akatsi, Ho, Accra and Budumburam Camp areas. He said anyone with information about her location can report to the nearest police station for a handsome reward..
