Servicemen told to be dedicated to duty

Commodore Steve Obimpeh (Rtd) has entreated servicemen and women to uphold the endearing legacy of determination, selflessness and dedication to duty by the ex-servicemen.

He said it was these attributes that enabled the ex-servicemen to win the battle of Myohaung which was regarded as one of the fiercest battles.

Commodore Obimpeh gave the advice at the Drum-Head Service in memory of the battle of Myohaung at the Apremdo Barracks.

He said the current socio-economic challenges confronting the country were as a result of the lack of commitment and willingness to offer dedicated service.

He entreated the personnel to take a cue from the selflessness of the ex-servicemen and work hard in advancing the democracy of the country.
