Any Prophet Who Always Prophesizes Good Things Is Fake - Dag-Heward Mills

The founding Bishop of the Lighthouse Chapel International, Bishop Dag-Heward Mills says it is wrong to speak against prophecies.

Without direct linkage to the recent happenings among Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, Archbishop Duncan-Williams and Bishop Charles Agyin Asare over who a true prophet is, the renowned evangelist has preached that anybody who always says good things to you is not a good friend.

Preaching on 'Sweet Melodies 94.3 fm' on the topic “Don’t Despise Prophesying” , Bishop Dag-Heward Mills said if only good things are said to you, then that person is not a genuine person; likewise, it is wrong for Christians to expect to always hear good things from a Prophet -  such prophecies should convince you that they are falsehood.

He however stated that genuine prophets should shut up when people react wrongly to their prophecies; indicating that those who respond wrongly to prophecies will be cut off from the truth in the prophecies.

If you come to a church and always hears "good, good, good; it will be well with you; you will be shinning….it is not true, you can know immediately that it is a false prophecy because it is not all good”.

That’s why Jesus did not say anything when he saw the Pharisees; he spoke in parables…..when you are someway, people stop sharing their hearts with you; somebody else will hear the heart but you will not hear the heart; somebody else will hear what the truth is but you, you will be cut off from it because your response is wrong”.

“Let’s learn to say Amen; whatever the word of God is, to us, the proper response not to only good sounding things but even to the bad sounding things, the answer should be Amen. Let God’s word come to pass; may the word that come out of your month be Amen and through your Amen, may good impartations come into your lives….there are impartations and powerful things that are given to you through prophecies; that’s why you should be ready and armed like a Cowboy with a gun to say Amen when somebody prophesizes”, he narrated.

He underscored that prophecies are meant to edify people, reminding that it is not only Prophets who give prophecies because preaching also contains prophecies to build up people; thus pastors and evangelists can prophesize.
