Deputy Eastern Region Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Francis Annor Dompreh has described President Mahama as the Joshua of Ghana.
Indeed, in the opinion of Mr Dompreh, President Mahama's achievements in his two years of office are second only to Ghana's first President, Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
Though some critics have accused the president of doing nothing in the face of the many challenges facing the nation, Mr. Annor Dompreh says the president's critics have chosen to close their eyes to his many achievements and the positive plans he has for the nation.
"President Mahama is indeed continuing what our former president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah did for the country before he died and so I find it very surprising when I hear the NPP criticizing the president.
“President Mahama has really done a lot for the country though there are at times that things don’t go the way we want as Ghanaians. That is why I will always describe the president as the Joshua of our time who will deliver us from this problem and so I am assuring Ghanaians not to lose hope in the president” he said on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem Wednesday January 28, 2015.
