The Uhuru Pro smartphone adds to the relatively successful Uhuru detachable laptop and most recently the Uhuru Classic which to constitute what company officials say is the Uhuru range of brands in their staple.

As a high-earn smart phone, the Uhuru Pro runs on Android 4.4 KitKat Operating System and it seeks to enhance the user experience. The High resolution 5.0” IPS capacitive screen displays what you see as the actual while the rear camera is in 8 mega pixel with an auto focus, which can aid the capturing of all sacred and pleasurable moments of your life and with the 2 mega pixel front camera your life will be more colourful by sharing any beautiful time of yourself. The 9mm slim device has a 2000mAh battery which will offer the user double assurance of not looking back to recharging after only few hours.

The Uhuru Pro allows users the opportunity to write short keys on screen to open apps and smart wake screen other gestures. For instance, you can type e-to open internet, c-to open camera, w- to open file manager.

For the visually impaired, there is always an option to combine apps that you touch with accompanying voice.
And for persons who love to share beautiful moments (selfies), pro allows you to say cheese to a snap.
Uhuru Pro also gives users direct opportunity to print documents shared or directly from the device.

The Uhuru Pro comes with a GSM 859/900/1800/1900Mhz 2G, WCDMA 900/2100MHz 3G and a WCDMA/GPRS/EDGE Class12. In terms of memory, the manufacturers have graciously provided 8GB + 1G memory space. The phone comes with a Wifi/BT4.0/GPS/FM/NFC; G-sensor, Light-sensor and even Proximity-sensor. And for multimedia, users are assured of an MP3/Midi/Wav/Acc/MP4/3GP/3GPP as well as a 3.5mm Audio Jack supported by a T-card MAX 32GB.

The Uhuru Pro is well designed with high-class and high-earned personalities in mind. In addition to its fantastic features, the device has tile-based home screen for accessing latest apps from the uniquely built Uhuru App Store.This device come with one unique app(PASS IT) that allows users of the same phone to transfer large files,PHOTOS from their desk top or email without internet connectivity. The phone comes in gold version which unlike the noble black version has a back touch function and will be sold online and at key retail outlets.

Both versions of the phone promise to be a user-friendly and smooth device but perhaps the most important motivator is the affordability in pricing.

In terms of figures we are hoping to sell over 500,000 pieces of the device globally for now as we test the market for this 1st quarter of the year”, Alex Lu, Global Head of Rlg is reported to have remarked.

The Rlg Communications Group plans to bridge further the digital gap in Africa in its latest strategic plan for this year.
In August last year, unveiled the Uhuru Classic, onto the market in Keeping with the desire to remain an industry leader. The much-talked about innovative piece was launched on the company’s website www.rlgglobal.com.

The Viva Ex smartphone was later introduced in October last year and currently being promoted in joint partnership with network operating giant, MTN.

The phone is available for sale in Ghana on online shopping mall, www.jumia.com.gh, I-zone, Fone zone AND Uhuru shops, key retail outlets in Accra and other regions as well as Rlg showroom at Osu while major sales points and partners including Glo Nigeria are marketing the product in other West African countries.
