Three Elders Of the Odoi Kese Family Arrested For Denigrating Owner Of Ages Investment

The Adentan Police Command has arrested three leading members of the Odoi Kesse Family for causing a publication in the Daily Graphic which seeks to lower the persona of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ages Investment Company Limited, Mr. Henry Kwabena Sakyi Obiri and his company in the eyes of right thinking Ghanaians.

The three, Abusaupanyin Atta Odoi, Yaw Obiri and Andrew Kwabena Sakyi Obiri all of the Obosomase family in the Eastern Region were picked in around midday on Tuesday after advertisement calling on all who have business dealings with Henry Kwabena Sakyi Obiri to sever all relations with him and his company.

“Further, any member of the general public who has already paid consideration to the said Henry KWABENA SAKYI OBIRI or AGES INVESTMENT COMPANY LIMITED should take all lawful and/or reasonable steps to retrieve paid out sums since the Odoi Kese Family has granted no authority to Henry KWABENA SAKYI OBIRI or AGES INVESTMENT COMPANY LIMITED to act on the family’s behalf in any transaction(s). All lands purportedly conveyed by KWABENA SAKYI OBIRI or AGES INVESTMENT COMPANY LIMITED shall be re-possessed” the publication read.

However, in an interview with the CEO of Ages Investment Company Limited, he sounded convinced that the publication is a well calculated attempt to bring down the hard won reputation of his company and himself.

To him, he and his company have been drawn into a needless family dispute by the Odoi kese family over the proceed of lands belonging to one of the three pillars of the Family which has been agreed in a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) to be sold to him.

“…I don’t know why I me and my company must be made to go through this. I made an offer to three different tracts of lands amounting to over GHC 1,200,000 belonging to three pillars of the family but after I began paying, some members of one pillar plunged into confusion over the proceeds of the sale”

“I therefore advised them to engage themselves in a dialogue to resolve the dispute, so that I can complete payment as agreed. So is would be wrong to create the impression I have fraudulently acquired the land and further call on buyers to seek legal means to retrieve their money. Why would you want to destroy my image and company because you have problems in your family?” Henry Kwabena Sakyi Obiri asked.

Meanwhile, interrogation by the Adanta Police took a dramatic turn when Yaw Obiri and Andrew Kwabena Sakyi Obiri, both leading members of the Odoi Kese family blamed the publication on their Family Head, Abusaupanyin Atta Odoi.

To them, their arrest came as shocking since they do not have any problem with the transaction agreement with Ages Investment Company Limited as they are willing and ready to sell their portions to the Company.

They also expressed displeasure with their Family Head for representing them in the Daily Graphic publication without their consent.
