Choice FM Now Re-branded To Become Kasapa FM

The recently acquired Accra-based radio station CHOICE FM, which was earlier advertised as renamed Adepa FM, will now trade as Kasapa FM.

Kasapa FM as the new name stands, will compete in the Twi-speaking, mass market demographic. The station has been test transmitting since the takeover from Fred Oware’s CHOICE FM in December, 2014.

The station’s tagline is ‘Agye Bebiaaaa’.

Normal programming is expected to begin in the coming months, enewsgh.com sources say. Part of a growing media stable, Kasapa FM plans a huge roll out when it begins operations.

EIB’s recent acquisitions have got industry heads talking. A pitch that sets it almost at par with the Multimedia Group (which owns JOY FM, Adom FM, Nhyira FM, Asempa FM, Multi TV and Hitz FM) – in terms of on air properties – it is yet the most talked about media group in Ghana now.

A member of Kwabena Duffour’s HODA Holdings – a group of companies that also include Star Assurance and Unibank among others, it has broadcaster and events host Nathaniel Kwabena Anokye Adisi (Bola Ray) as its CEO.

The group’s other properties include Starr FM, and LIVE FM in Accra, as well as Empire FM in Takoradi, Ultimate FM (Kumasi), HI FM (Koforidua), Agoo FM (Nkawkaw) and Cool FM (Cape Coast).
