Fire has gutted the apartment of the Ashanti regional administrator of the Kumasi central prison destroying properties worth millions of Ghana cedis.
Speaking to Hello FM news reporter, Isaac Kwame Owusu,DCOP William Ofori Arnolf, Regional Commander and Deputy Controller of Prisons explained that their life is in serious danger as he could not fathom the recent tragedies hitting the prison administration in Kumasi.
"Two days ago,it was the yard now a senior prisons officer's apartment,why won't I suspect foul play. The last time I received a threatening message with the writer threatening to take my life", he said looking worried.
For now we will allow the fire personnel to investigate the cause of the fire but we are also taking precautionary fire safety measures,he added.
The fire which started around 6:30pm, Friday, was said to be in the prison yard but we later got to know it was a senior officer's apartment.
