NPP, NDC Pursuing Wrong Economic Path Samia

The Chairperson of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Samia Nkrumah has stated that the two largest political parties in Ghana do not deserve to win the 2016 general elections.

According to her, both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are “pursuing the wrong economic path.”

Ms Nkrumah has thus charged Ghanaians to wise up and give the CPP the mandate to govern the nation.

The CPP has been an ardent critic of the NDC and the NPP and although it has failed to capture power over the years, the party is optimistic it will soon return to power.

The party’s chairperson, was recently reported as saying, the CPP has put its house in order because the nation’s salvation lies in the election of a CPP government.

In May 2014, Samia Nkrumah stated that the only way Ghana will achieve economic stability and the development of its human resource is to elect the CPP into power.

She said: “The path and solution to the economic difficulties of our country is the election of a CPP government for an implementation of an economic development programme that is inspired and defined by our struggle for political and economic freedom to fulfill our mission in history.”

Ahead of the 2016 polls, the party has begun its constituency elections to elect new executives to run the affairs of the party.

The CPP is also scheduled to conduct it’s regional elections which will soon be followed by their national delegates’ congress.

Ms Nkrumah is hopeful the outcome of their national delegates’ congress will give Ghanaians an opportunity to repose confidence in them to enable them win the 2016 polls.
