It is Clear The Editor Of The Publisher Newspaper Is Not A Frequent Traveler - Carlos Ahinkorah

Carlos Ahinkorah, an aspirant of the Unit Committee election in the upcoming District Assembly polls in Tema West has described a publication in the Publisher Newspaper which seeks to suggest he is being invested by the Bureau of national Investigations for possessing and traveling with two Ghanaian passports as false.

Speaking to Adakbre Frimpong Manso on Neat 100.9 FM, he stated that the publication is “false” and an orchestration by certain political elements to discredit and dent his image.

“My phone has always been on and no one has called me from the BNI. I have not received any invitation too. Moreover, who said the BNI would use a newspaper to invite me if they were really looking for me?” Mr. Ahinkorah quizzed.

According to the paper, there is an ongoing investigation by the BNI on how Mr. Ahinkorah traveled on “Emirates 788 from Accra through Abidjan through to Dubai on September 23, 2014 with passport number G0555553 and returned to Accra on October 25, 2014 with a different passport number H2376509 on Emirates Airlines 787”.

The Publisher newspaper went on to say that “the information was captured in the traveler history report from the Ghana Immigration Service (GES) is part of exhibits in a court case”.

However, Mr. Ahinkorah explained that it is clear from the publication that the Editor of the paper is not a frequent traveler because “he would have known that one is allowed to use another passport if the old one if full but still has a valid visa”.

He also promised to dig deeper to find out how his travel details were released by the GES without a court order.
