Dumsor War: NDC Needs To Apologise To Ghanaians...They've Deliberately Created Dumsor

A former General Secretary for the New Patriotic Party, has responded to an allegation by Mr. Bismark Tawiah Boateng that the frequent unpredictable power supply in the country, should be blamed on the NPP.

The Eastern Regional Chairman for the NDC, Bismark Tawiah Boateng claims President Mahama’s inability to dismiss “pensioner” engineers from the Volta River Authority has contributed largely to the worsening supply of electrical power. He believes the engineers working with VRA are NPP members.

But Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, who is also known in political circles as Sir John, claims Mr. Tawiah Boateng erred by asserting that the NPP flooded VRA with engineers who have reached their retirement age. He therefore asked the ruling party to render an unqualified apology to Ghanaians for insulting their intelligence with such warped claims.

Speaking on Peace FM’s News@Midday, Sir John stated that President Mahama’s unispiring leadership has really cost the nation and plunged the citizenry into wierd living conditions in this technologically advanced age.

According to him, unlike President Mahama, former President Kufour brought the situation under control by listening to experts and acting as directed.

Former President Kufour didn’t use moneys meant for crude oil to enrich him; but we have the current president doing the exact opposite of that”, he said.

He added that when the NPP abdicated office, they "ensured the nation had access to uninterrupted power supply, but as soon as the NDC took over, they've plunged the country in darkness".
