Afa Saani Joins NPP

A popular head porter in the Tamale Central Market, Afa Saani, has announced his defection to the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), citing high cost of living and neglect by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government for his decision.

Afa Saani, an NDC activist who paid a visit to the new Northern Regional headquarters of the NPP to announce his defection, promised to embark on a vigorous campaign to bring on board his colleagues, noting that it is only under an NPP administration that lives of the people can improve.

The defector chastised his former party for neglecting the low class in the society, questioning the state of the numerous promises top notches of the NDC made to people of the north.

Most of the promises, he observed, had not been achieved yet government propagandists had used various media platforms spewing falsehood that sounds true to cover up the inefficiency of the current government.

This, he stressed, was not in any way going to change the minds of Ghanaians to vote the NDC out in 2016.

According to Afa Saani, he was going to work strenuously to ensure the defeat of the NDC come 2016, and appealed to the leadership of the NPP to lend him the needed support when the time comes.

He was received into the party by the Regional Secretary, Sule Salifu; the Regional Organizer, Alhaji Abdallah Hindu; Tamale North and Central Chairman and Organizer, Adam Yussif and Alhassan Sherif respectively.

Afa Saani was later presented with a form to fill for a party ID card to be processed for him in the course of the week and commended for his bold decision to quit the NDC in the face of a myriad failed promises.
