Onions That Doesnt Cause Bad Breath Developed

For those very closer to me, they will tell you how addicted i am to ONIONS.

I am the only person who eats Waakye, Beans, Rice, Boiled Yam, or sometimes Rice Balls and still slices Onions in the food.

Most people, especially my family get very mad sometimes when i go i for the last Onion from the Fridgejust to add it to whatever food i am yet to consume. Yes thats how weird i am when it comes to my diet.

One thing i personally dont like about slicing of Onions is to see tears flowing down my eyes and i dont think i am the only one who is facing such disadvantage.

Good news is, a group of farmers in England have got us covered.

The farmers have created a new variety of onions called the Sweet Red.

The Sweet Red was bred to contain less sulphur, which is the reason we cry when we chop onions, and also the cause of bad breath.

Farmer Alastair Findlay of Bedfordshire Growers spent almost 20 years perfecting it, personally tasting and evaluating some 400-500 bulbs per season to cultivate the new sweet red onion.

The onions have gone on sale in U.K. and am waiting to see the onions get in the markets here in Ghana.
