We Wont Tolerate Insolence From Any Political Party Member In The Ashanti Region - Abuakwa Police

Abuakwa District Police Commander in the Ashanti Region, Superintendant Joseph Nyaba has given a stern warning that any nonsensical behavior from any member of either the ruling NDC or the opposition NPP will not be treated with kid’s gloves.

The Abuakwa police in the Ashanti Region are after the Atwima Nwabiagya South constituency organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Wisdom Boamah.

Boamah had been accused of assaulting a policeman nicknamed, ‘Action’ who was said to have confronted him (Boamah) over the blocking of the main Abuakwa-Kumasi road and causing severe vehicular traffic in the area.

The police capo stated that the police would continue to comb the entire area until Boamah was apprehended to face the law.

According to him, Saturday morning, around 11am, Boamah purportedly blocked the Abuakwa- Kumasi main road with his car right opposite the Abuakwa Police Station, creating a scene.

Boamah, he said, became infuriated about the policeman’s confrontation so he (Boamah) assaulted the policeman in public and fled the scene immediately.

Addressing the issue on Okay FM’s "Ade Akye Abia" Morning Show, Supt. Joseph Nyaba mentioned that such behavior sometime ago used to happen but for now, per the leadership of the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, the law will deal with anybody who flouts the laws in the region.

“Now in Ashanti Region, nobody can come here and do nonsense things and escape the law. Our Regional Commander does not want anybody to come to Ashanti Region to misbehave, commit crime and be set free; we will take you according to the law regardless of which political party you belong, whether NDC or NPP...We won’t tolerate this insolence in the Ashanti Region again,” he charged.

He subsequently pray that the NDC Constituency Executives will not bring Wisdom Boamah to the police with the intention to apologize for his behavior; adding “I want to arrest him myself so that the law can deal with him accordingly”.
