Kejetia & Central Market Women To Bare Their Vagi**s At Kumasi Mayor

Traders at Kejetia as well as the Kumasi Central market have vowed to bare their genitalia at Kumasi mayor Kojo Bonsu and anyone who comes to reconstruct the place.

This is their way of stopping a planned demolition exercise which will pave way for the reconstruction of the place.

Several fires occur at the market each year destroying property worth several thousands of cedis.

The market women who spoke on Fox FM morning show Thursday fear the exercise will cause them to lose their spot at the business hot spot. Some also fear their only source of livelihood will suffer immensely throwing their families into hardship.

The angry market women mentioned the mayor’s name several times and vowed not to allow any reconstruction works to go on there.

Spokesman for the Kumasi mayor, Samuel Gyamfi explained that the fear of the traders is misplaced as other shops have already been acquired to accommodate traders who would lose their shops to the demolition exercise.

He also assured property owners who are likely to lose their property of fair compensation.

City authorities believe the only way to end the recurrent fires as well as congestion at the central market and Kejetia area is to reconstruct the entire market.

Samuel Gyamfi also reveals transport operators around the central business district will also be moved to the race course area which is being prepared specially for that purpose.

He tells residents of Kumasi that the reconstruction is not the sole prerogative of the mayor but rather in fulfillment of the President’s campaign promise.
