Gary Nimako Marfo, one of the lawyers battling to defend Kwesi Kyei Darkwah (KKD) who is being tried for rape has dismissed an advice by another lawyer for Ghanaian men to insist their partners fill consent forms before sex.

Lawyer Nimako could not fathom why any lawyer could conceive the idea that a form indicating the permission of a woman before sex would be admitted in a court, in a case of rape.

In the midst of the rape accusation against ace broadcaster, KKD, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw advised men to make full disclosure of their intent to have sex with women and not take them by surprise.

To him, it would even be better if they make the ladies fill consent forms before beginning the actual sex act.

“Another way to get the consent of a woman before sex aside the filling of the consent form is to smooch her to the point where she would direct your penis into her vagina. When it gets to that point, you did not do the penetration and you are free,” he said.

But his learned colleague, Gary Nimako Marfo is of the view that a consent form would not be admitted in the court of law though he agrees with Lawyer Ampau on the fact that Ghanaian women are very considerate and would give in to sex easily.

“…Now when I see Maurice, I will call him 'consent lawyer' because I don’t know where he got this idea from. This would do in a civil case but not in a criminal case like rape,” he said on Okay FM .
