Reports reaching the studios of NEAT FM indicates that there is a fire outbreak at the Korle Bu Pharmacy Department.
Confirming the story to Adakabre Frimpong Manso, the Public Relations Officer Mustapha Salifu of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital stated that fire was detected in one of the offices of the department around 14:00 GMT but has been brought under control.
“…Immediately after the fire was detected, the Fire Service was called in and has now contained it,” he said.
This incident comes on the back of a Forensic Audit Report which disclosed the misappropriation of an amount of GHc 946,574.29 between 2010 to 2014 and has subsequently lead to the interdiction of the Director of Pharmacy, Mrs. Elizabeth Bruce.
