Ghana's power crises seem to have transcended its limits as the citizenry continue to lament over the depressing state of the energy sector in the country.
In the wake of the erratic electricity supply dubbed "dumsor" across the entire nation, thousands of demonstrators thronged the streets of the capital to register their displeasure and frustrations with the administration of President John Dramani Mahama.
As the demo caught the eye of local media, international media were not left out as it also took keen interest in the stake of Ghana's current situation.
British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Africa reported on the issue and sought to solicit of the views of some Ghanaians on the energy challenges confronting them in the country.
A snapshot of the BBC Africa report was posted on its Facebook wall with the post; "People in Ghana are protesting over power shortages. They say the cost of buying diesel to run generators is exorbitant. One business says they've had to throw away food that's gone rotten. Are you in Ghana? Do you have power?"
The "Won Gbo" Dumsor demonstration was fronted by bigwigs in the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
