Thumbs Up For Techiman North MP

The Member of Parliament for Techiman North, Alex Kyeremeh, has been lauded for championing the development of his constituency over the years.

Nana Opem Ampem Baffour Amo Koffie II, Twafohene of Tuabodom in the Brong Ahafo  region, who made the commendation said the MP, who also doubles as the Deputy Minister of Education, had  done exceedingly well in bringing development to his constituents in the area of education, health, agriculture and  roads.

The chief said the MP had offered scholarship to 1,000 students from both Techiman North and South districts, to pursue education at the Senior High school level and supplied 10,000 dual desks to schools in both constituencies.

According to Nana Amo Koffie, who is also the internal Auditor of the Amansie West District Assembly, Alex Kyeremeh has been instrumental in the connection of about 50 communities to the National Grid, as well as ensuring that Krobo Nursing Training School benefit from the supply of school bags.

The MP is also said to have been influential in the tarring of the 16.5 Techiman Township roads and the allocation of a Fire tender to the Techiman North Municipal Assembly. Mr. Kyeremeh is also credited with ensuring the allocation of buses to the Nsuta and Tuabodom SHSs, as well as supporting 13 farmers’ groups in the area.

He is also said to have introduced “Operation Go Back to school” to encourage parents to send their wards to school and thus enhancing intake in schools, in his bid to promote education in his constituency.

Nana Amo Koffie has, therefore, appealed to the Techiman North constituents to rally behind the former MCE for Techiman North to forge ahead in development. The chief also appealed to the youth in the district to support the MP to roll out projects under his development agenda.
