Our Continuous Stay In Dumsor Is Either Deliberate, Wickedness Or Witchcraft From NDC Govt

Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West Constituency, Hon Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has expressed worry over the increasing energy crisis in the midst of many of alternatives to end the erratic power supply.

According to the NPP MP, the lackadaisical approach to resolving the energy crisis certainly shows the President Mahama-led administration is deliberately and wickedly refusing to do the right thing to ensure regular supply of power for Ghanaians.

Speaking on Oman Fm’s National Agenda Morning Show, Mrs Owusu-Ekuful asserted it may be witchcraft that the NDC government is exhibiting to ensure that businesses and properties are destroyed; wondering why it has taken 3 years for the government to see the need to resolve the crisis.

“It is either wickedness, deliberate or witchcraft, otherwise I don’t understand why for the past 3 years we are still in this erratic power situation...this kind of erratic power supply has never happened in this country before, though every government in the past has experienced a bit of it; but for this continuous stay in ‘darkness’ for 3 years, it has never occurred before,” she bemoaned.

“It is as if there is no solution to this crisis and that’s why I’m saying it is deliberate to put us under ‘darkness’; NDC knows what to do to ensure we don’t stay in darkness. Those who went on demonstration are demanding for light now and not in a year,” she charged.

She again demanded from the government to provide light for Ghanaian businesses the same way power was made available during the Christmas festivities and the 2015 AFCON; fuming that the NDC government considers these events more important than businesses and the well-being of Ghanaians.

“Businesses are collapsing and this government seems not to care about it; how much more pain do you think Ghanaians can take? It is sad that President Mahama has reduced the energy crisis to the use of mobile phones….how can you do that? They think Ghanaians are so foolish that whatever excuses they give them, they will accept them and so the President can say that and get away with it,” she fumed.

She however quizzed “how many more people must die?; adding that “NDC is clueless, visionless, aimless, directionless, and purposeless since 2009 because they are just trying their hands on the work".

She ridiculed that the only aim of the NDC government is fight their way into government in order to steal state funds and share among their families and friends; insisting that “this is no longer funny and excusable”.
