We Will Clear Off All Greedy Ashanti Regional Executives - NDC Foot-Soldiers

Reports indicates that the ruling National Democratic Congress in the Ashanti Region has held a crunch meeting to discuss punitive actions to be meted out to members of the group calling itself the Coalition of NDC foot-soldiers in the region.

This is after the group carried out threats of dealing ruthlessly with members of the party’s Regional executives by locking up the Regional Headquarters.

According to Raymond Tandoh, the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NDC, “no properties were damaged nor anyone hurt during the siege but we are taking steps to stop these acts from taking place again and that is what we are discussing now”.

Addressing the leader of the group, Ben Abdullah, in a telephone interview with Kwame Agyetia on Neat FM, Mr. Tandoh advised: “you must some of these things that bring the name of the party to disrepute and use the proper means of resolving your grievances and stop running to the press at the least provocation”.

However, in a sharp rebuttal from Mr. Abdullah, he accused the leadership of the party in the Region of indulging in corruption which has led to the impoverishment of the party’s foot-soldiers who labored for the party to win the last two general elections.

“…we have worked for you and we have nothing to show for it but you people are riding in luxurious car all over town. We have planned to clear off all these greedy people in the party in order to pave way for President John Dramani Mahama to win the 2016 elections”.

This comes on the heels of a planned demonstration by the Coalition of NDC Foot-Soldiers in the Ashanti Region against the Regional Chairman, Yaw Owusu Obimpeh for running a one-man-show in the region.

Mr. Abdullah also alleged that his Regional Chairman is scheming to get the Regional Minister and police Commander replaced.

He also vowed to continue putting pressure of the Regional executives of the party till they stepped down from their positions.
