The 2015 UPAC Basketball Champions warm-up games take place on Saturday March 7 at the University of Professional Studies basketball court. Eight (8) tertiary institutions from the Greater Accra zone will use the one-day event to gauge and weigh their team’s readiness ahead of the start of the main championship on March 14 at the same venue.
The draw for the event took place on TV’3 Fast Break last Sunday, throwing up some enthralling fixtures. Ashesi University will play Pentecost University while Wisconsin International University College clash with Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). Zenith University College will battle Marshalls University College with host University of Professional Studies locking horns with Ghana Telecom University.
The warm-up game is expected to roll out as a teaser to the main championship which starts from March 14.
The UPAC Championship is the only basketball event that bridges the gap between Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges in the West African country.
