It Will Be A Waste Of Time To Appeal - Woyome's Lawyer

Mr Ahmed Musah, lead counsel for businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome has asked the Attorney General not to waste her time in appealing against the ruling of the High Court because ‘it will be an exercise in futility’.

An Accra High Court led by Justice John Ajet-Nasam, yesterday, acquitted and discharged Woyome of all two charges: causing financial loss to the state and defrauding by false pretense.

The Attorney General, Marietta Brew Appiah-Opong after the ruling said in an interview with the media that “we disagree completely with the judgment of the court”, and added that they will be filing for an appeal.

However lawyer Musah, speaking in an interview on Citi FM eyewitness news, Thursday said the AG will not succeed.

“If they appeal, they will be wasting their time; it will be an exercise in futility to pursue an appeal in this case” he said.
