KKDs Fate To Be Decided By 7-Member Jury

Well-spoken Broadcast Journalist and fashionista Kwasi Kyei Darkwa(KKD) was in court this morning for the trial of his alleged rape case and the twist and turns seem unending.

After a while of deliberations by state prosecutors and KKD’s lawyer in an Accra Fast Track High court this morning, presided over by Justice Bright Mensah, state prosecutors have asked for more time in order to constitute a seven-member jury to hear the case and determine the outcome.

An Accra Fast Track High Court therefore adjourned the case to April 22 upon the request of the state which is asking for more time to allow the needed processes to be put in place before the case begins.

According to Citifmonline, counsel for KKD, Anthony Folson told the court he was unhappy with the request by the state especially since it had one month to ensure everything was put in place.

KKD was reportedly in court together with his father and Rapper Okyeame Kwame.

KKD was arrested on December 27, 2014 for allegedly raping 19-yar-old Ewuraffe Orleans Thompson in a hotel washroom.

The Human Rights Court in Accra granted the Finest Production CEO bail on humanitarian grounds after 19 days in detention.
