A 29- year old physically challenged woman is holding a Physical Education (P.E) instructor to take responsibility for their child after a failed bid to abort the pregnancy.
Akosua Nkansah, a Paralympics athlete accuses George Mac-Carthy of refusing to take care of the pregnancy on the grounds he never impregnated the woman.
The two met at a training session at the Baba Yara Stadium in 2014 after which they became lovers.
Akosua alleged that the teacher gave her GHC 100 to have the pregnancy aborted but she refused to do so.
According to her, despite family intervention, Mac-Carthy left her to her fate until she delivered through caesarian section.
Akosua Nkansah in an interview with Nhyira FM said her future as an athlete now hangs in the balance.
