President Mahama Pretended He Was One Of US- Disappointed NDC Youths

Despite our love for the National Democratic Congress, we as youth residing in the Upper-East, Upper-West and Northern Region of Ghana will soon demonstrate against the Mahama led administration to register our displeasure.

It is quiet unfortunate how one of our own who is managing the affairs of the nation has taken us for granted and failed to address our numerous concerns.  In the 2012 elections, we had two clear options to either vote for President John Dramani Mahama or Dr. Bawumia.

Our decision to vote for Mahama was because we felt that unlike a ‘Vice President’ Mahamadu Bawumia, electing John Mahama as president would take decisions that would favour the region. Although the future belongs to the youth, we, precisely those of us from the three Northern Regions have been left out of development and empowerment under this current government.

Under employment, President Mahama promised to provide meaningful jobs to the Ghanaian youth to help reduce armed robbery and associated vices but till date that has not been achieved.

In any case if President Mahama has managed to provide the said jobs for the youth, our request as youth residing in the northern sector of the country is that he gives us our share.  As desperate as we are, we tried a number of times to start a business on our own; but unfortunately, the prevailing electrically power crisis has killed and reduced our sweat to nothing.

His recent actions indicate clearly that we made the biggest mistake of our life by electing him into office. He made us feel like he was one of us and would represent our interest when voted; but this is yet to happen.

As educated as he is, we felt he will make education in the three Northern Regions his priority but under his leadership, he can’t boast of one major educational development in his home (the three Northern Regions).

Considering the above reasons, we would be staging the first demonstration to directly inform President Mahama that we would be angrily waiting for him in 2016.  He can pretend to be a dead goat in this our courtesy call and decide not to react, but in 2016 he has no other option.

Our coalition started not long ago but we have more than 28,000 people in support of our impending demonstration. To the youth of this country: Let’s rise together, together we can, it is possible together. Ghana must work again.

The demonstration would take place at Bolgatanga on 26th March 2016, we would communicate the time and venue to all member. To join us call any of the undersigned names

Signed
