Central Regional branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is asking the government to, as a matter of urgency, dissolve all premix committees in the country.
Addressing the media in Cape Coast, the Regional Chairman of the Party, Ben Allotey Jacobs, said the premix committees currently in place across the country are riddled with corruption, diversion of premix fuel and other malpractices that make the fisherman poorer than before.
Consequently, he called on government to dissolve the committee in the interest of the party ahead of the 2016 general elections.
Alloty Jacobs noted that “it is expedient for one man to die than for a whole nation to perish” so he will ensure the right things are done.
“The national premix board has been dissolved; they can go to hell. The interest of the community is more important than individuals,” he stressed.
