JCI Accra Royale Embarks On Projects

Junior Chamber International (JCI) Africa & Middle East Senate in collaboration with JCI Accra Royale Ghana have embarked on a number of projects to improve on the lives of ordinary Ghanaians.

The projects, which include "Fight against Malaria, Cholera and Light for the Needy," formed parts of activities marking the 100 years celebration of JCI movement.

“We have Solar light to supply 10 hours of light daily, a mosquito trap and a portable inverter to store more power, as well as sanitizing machines for rural hospitals and community centres across the nation,” Senator Veronica Mills Lamptey has stated, adding that, the items would be given free of charge to those who could not afford.

She continued: “JCI aims to impact on of the people of Ghana especially at this time of electricity challenges.”
Accra Royal chapter of JCI intends to educate the people in the country on the need to eradicate malarial parasite and the prevention of malaria and other diseases.

Henry Giessenbier Jr. started the JCI Movement, growing into what is now a global movement of impact reaching across more than 100 countries to more than 5,000 communities.

JCI is a member driven voluntary organisation that brings together young professionals aged between 18 and 40. Its mission is to provide development opportunities that empower young people across the globe.

The organisation, affiliated to United Nations also seeks to achieve this through running projects that address community challenges and opportunities, individual development, business interests and international connections.
