Andre Ayew In Inter Milan Talks

The Italian giants are stepping up their attempts to secure the Ghana international when his contract expires this summer. Inter Milan have organised a meeting with Abedi Pele in order to discuss the signing of Olympique Marseille and Ghana star Andre Ayew. The Black Stars contract comes to an end this summer, meaning that the left winger is allowed to speak to other clubs with a view to moving follow the expiry of his current deal on June 30. Marseille are keen to keep hold of Ayew, a home-grown product and one of their most valuable assets, but it is believed that Italian heavyweights Inter Milan are closing in on a deal. Sky Italia [via Football Italia] have reported that the Nerazzurri are in talks with the player and have arranged a rendezvous with his father in order to begin negotiations. While Abedi Pele has expressed his own desire for his son to remain at the Stade Velodrome, OMs financial limitations have prevented them from offering a deal that the player deems appropriate. Phoceens scout Jose Anigo was admitted that he is resigned to seeing the West African depart the club this summer having not signed a contract, while the players older brother Rahim Ayew has insisted that the attacker is not thinking about his future but rather concentrating on OMs Ligue 1 campaign. After thrashing Racing Club de Lens on Sundaya game in which Dede found the netMarseille sit third in the French top flight. They are one point behind second-placed Olympique Lyonnais and two behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain. The Ghana international has been a key figure in Marcelo Bielsas Olympians outfit so far this term and played an important role in the sides excellent campaign. He has scored seven goals in 20 league starts and contributed two assists. While Ayew was visibly distraught by Ghanas inability to lift the African Championship in Equatorial Guinea earlier this year, he has returned to club action in superb form. Four of his league goals have come since the Afcon. As well as Inter, Italian sides Roma and Napoli, as well as the Premier Leagues Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Liverpool, Queens Park Rangers and Everton have all been linked to his signature. Ayew is currently with the Ghana squad as they prepare for their international friendlies against Senegal and Mali in France.
