The 2008 and 2012 New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Sawla Tuna Kalba constituency, Mr. Joseph Nongiri Naa Vugu, has declared his intention to contest the constituency parliamentary primaries for the third time.

Mr. Vugu, who is an opinion leader and also highly respected within the constituency because of his service to the people, has since 2008 improved on the performance of the NPP in the constituency by increasing the votes from 4,000 in 2004 to nearly 10,000 in 2012.

Speaking to the media, Mr. Vugu stated that his name is now a household name in the constituency in view of his contributions and steadfastness to NPP issues, and felt it was time for the people to vote for him and the NPP to bring about accelerated development in the area.

According to Mr. Vugu, the people had voted for Dari of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on three occasions, and that it was time they changed him and put in place a parliamentarian who would be able to bring on board alternative development plans and help resolve the challenges facing the constituency.

The parliamentary aspirant, who has a long record of civil and public service duties, says representing his people in parliament was another sure way of climaxing his services to his constituents in particular and the nation at large.

Mr. Vugu also called on the Ghanaian electorate to vote massively for Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr Bawumia – the party’s standard bearer and running mate respectively – in 2016, saying they hold the master key to the solution of the economic and other woes currently confronting the country.
