The Black Stars of Ghana drew 1-1 with Mali in an international friendly played at the Stade S�bastien Charl�ty on Tuesday night. Coach Avram Grant�s side failed to secure a win over the Eagles having suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Senegal last Saturday. Midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute after slotting the ball into an empty net having received a pass from the edge of the box. Mali however drew level in the 70th minute after skimmer Bakary Sako expertly converted a penalty kick to beat goalkeeper Fatau Dauda in post for Ghana following a foul committed by Richmond Boakye-Yiadom in the penalty box. Ghana coach Avram Grant however made several substitutions with the likes of David Accam, Edwin Gyimah, Jordan Ayew, Kwesi Appiah and Mubarak Wakasu all coming on to feature for the Black Stars. Striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom could have shot Ghana into the lead in the 76th minute only to be denied by the post as the game ended in an enthralling stalemate.
