Government Will Increase Access To Electricity Prez Mahama

President John Mahamah has announced that access to electricity in Ghana will increase from the current 76 per cent to 80 per cent after government completes the various electrification projects it is executing.

The President said this during a working visit to Saboba in the Northern Region.

President Mahama said: “76% of our people have access to electricity and if we finish the current electrification projects that we are doing, Ghana’s electricity access will stand at 80%.

”80% of our people will have access to electricity and I know that the people of this area have not been left out because several communities currently are on the electrification programme.”

He added that in terms of water supply, Ghana had “moved from under 50% water access to almost 70% access.”
