The Herald, an Accra based newspaper has retracted and apologize to the National Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Kwabena Abankwah-Yeboah following a malicious publication headlined “Massive Fraud at NPP headquarters National Treasurer Raises Funds without the knowledge of Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong.”
According to the newspaper, it has no evidence to prove that the National Treasurer have duped or defraud members of the party by signing a contract on their behalf without the knowledge of the NPP General Secretary and National Chairman.
“We will like to retract and apologize to Mr. Kwabena Abankwah-Yeboah of any offense the publication dated March 23rd 2015 have caused his image and reputation,” the paper wrote.
