I'll Deal With Anyone Who Destroys NDC 2016 Strategy Sofo Azorka

Northern Regional Chairman of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sofo Azorka has vowed not to allow any Member of Parliament thwart the party’s strategy for the 2016 electioneering campaign.

His comment is in reaction to claims by the MP of Nantong, Murtala Mohammed that his colleague is using ‘filthy money’ to bribe chiefs and opinion leaders in his constituency to unseat him.

On a Tamale-based Diamond FM, the MP went berserk and dared to open a Pandora box if the supposed traitor ruins his parliamentary ambition.

The audio has gone viral prompting party leadership to hold a crunch meeting over the matter. Murtala Mohammed is said to have been summoned to the presidency following the exposé.

But Sofo Azorka in an interview with Adom News believes the claim by the Nantong MP has the tendency to destroy the NDC.

He said as a matter of urgency, the regional executives have requested for the tape for scrutiny and will deal with anyone found culpable.

“We will not allow anyone to destroy our campaign strategy; we are very determined in the Northern region to retain the NDC in power,” he stressed.

Sofo Azorka cautioned all party members including MPs to desist from acts that will divide the party in the region.
