Independently organized TED event, TEDx Accra is spreading Ghanaian ideas to the rest of Africa and the world at large with the theme “The Next Chapter” as Ghana is poised to make tremendous change socio-economically and morally.

The platform at the National Theatre saw great Ghanaian and Ghanaian-Diaspora achievers and entrepreneurs in their various respective of works to share their experience and lecture on how Ghana can be transform with emerging activities in the world.

Speaking to the audience about the next chapter for Ghana to chalk success, the Chief Marketing Officer for Vodafone, Agnes Emefa Essah said the next chapter for Ghana is technology which has become the basis for successful country.

She explained that with the evolving technology, mobile phones have made everything possible, including information accessibility for business transaction easy for people as compared to the olden days where only means reaching the outside world was the limited telephones at some vantage places.

She recalled that without the existence of technology, the mode of communication between friends and families and among business partners was letter-writing which sometimes missed their way to the right recipients, making lives difficult for Ghanaians.

Madam Agnes Emefa Essah highlighted that the introduction of technology in Ghana has made business enjoyable as competitors can easy get information about their competitors, presenting a lot of opportunities for marketers and customers to make informed decision on what to purchase and deal in.

She reminded that we no longer live in passive, urging marketers to engage better with consumers, thereby connecting with consumers with so many means available to make transform the economy.

“The next chapter is here with us today…..change is here and it is moving fast; we either get with it and move with it or we face death. The next chapter for Ghana’s success is technology”, she enlightened.

TEDxAccra 2015 offers a glimpse into the "The Next Chapter" of Ghana success stories, giving room activists, entrepreneurs, historians, scientists, explorers, technologists and artists to share insights and ideas related to, or relevant to the Ghanaian society and the world as a whole.
