Minority Leader's Days Numbered...As Suame Delegates Back Boateng Genfi?

Since the creation of the Suame constituency till date, the area has been diligently served by Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, who doubles as the Minority Leader in Parliament.

However, his stay in office looks to be cut short as he faces stiff competition from Kwadwo Boateng Genfi; the new parliamentary aspirant who, according to reports, has already won the hearts of NPP delegates.

When the Suame constituency was created in 2004, Mr. Genfi, a Kumasi-based businessman, donated a two-room office to the constituency to be used as its office. Aside fully furnishing the office, he also equipped it with a television and computer set.

His benevolent acts seems to have worked the magic for him and from the little findings gathered by Peacefmonline.com, it appears majority of the delegates have decided to vote for Mr. Genfi as against the incumbent MP for the area.

On Wednesday, 22nd April, 2015, Mr. Genfi is expected to pick his nomination forms and delegates in Suame, have promised to openly show him their support just as they did in the past for Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu.

Suame is one of the constituencies represented in the Parliament of Ghana and the seat was created prior to the Ghanaian parliamentary election in 2004 when the Old Tafo-Suame constituency was split into the Old Tafo and Suame constituencies respectively.
