James Kwabena Bomfeh of the Conventions People's Party (CPP) has issued a strong warning to the Mahama administration not to cause any xenophobic conflicts in the country.

Speaking to sit-in host Nana Yaw Kesse on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", James Kwabena Bomfeh, popularly called Kabila admonished President John Dramani Mahama and government officials to be extremely wary of their actions and inactions.

According to him, any attempt by the President and the government to seek their selfish interest at the detriment of the Ghanaian populace can equally call for same treatment that South Africans are meting out to fellow blacks over claims that the foreign blacks have taken over their market.

In his earnest conviction, if the nation's leaders "don’t stop their greediness and allow corruption and failure, disappointment and frustration in leadership (to gain roots); Nana Yaw, when it dies, people will engage in all manner of lunatic stuff,” as Africa is witnessing in South Africa.

To him, "what is happening in South Africa is not far from happening in Ghana if leadership does not sit up and show confidence that we have something better to do. We love our nation. We care for the poor and do not think about our own selfish interests.“

Kabila believed that what has accounted for the current South African situation is primarily the lack of respect the citizens have for their leaders as a result of the high rate of corruption in the country.

Jacob Zuma has " lost respect, honour” in the eyes of his people, “so he doesn’t have the courage to talk and even when he talks, his people find it difficult to listen to him.

“The South African people widely believe that Zuma and his clique of leadership, they’re so corrupt. And they’ve no regard for the welfare of the people. As we discuss the South African situation, I implored Ghana to take a cue…" he told the host.
