Ghana U-20 To Embark On Australian Tour Ahead of FIFA World Cup

Ghana National u-20 Team, the Black Satellites will embark on a two-week training tour of Australia in preparation for the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand, Ghanasportsonline.com can confirm.

The Satellites will touch down in Australia on the 15th of May and depart to New Zealand on the 29th May for the tournament which starts a day after.

The Ghanaian side will limber up in the Oceana nation for two weeks before the start of the championship from May, 30 to June, 20.

The camp will give head coach Sellas Tetteh the opportunity to select his final 21-man squad for the 24-nation competition.

The Black Satellites, bronze medallists at the 2015 African Youth Championship (AYC) in Senegal, are expected to play a four-nation tournament iun New Zealand from May 2nd to 13th, before travelling for the two-week-long camp in neighbouring Australia.

Ghana is paired in Group B alongside Argentina, Panama and Austria and will open its campaign against Austria on Saturday May 30 at the Wellington Regional Stadium in New Zealand.

Ghana is the only African side to have annexed the FIFA U-20 World Cup trophy in 2009.

Mali, Nigeria and Senegal are the other sides to represent Africa at this year's U-20 World Cup.
