Afigya Sekyere East Delegates Support Female Parliamentary Aspirant

Despite a final decision by the National Council of the New Patriotic Party to withdraw a proposal on women only primaries, it has unfazed Mavis Nkansah Boadu, a female aspirant hoping to become the next Member of Parliament for the Afigya Sekyere East Constituency.   

Ever since Mavis Boadu took that bold decision to go against Hon. David Hennric Yeboah, the current MP for the area, delegates have been supportive of her and assisted her to shine.  

Delegates in the area were responsible for the payment of her parliamentary forms and she showed gratitude after picking it.

Some delegates who spoke to Peacefmonline.com claim an earlier decision by the National Executive Council to have more female legislators in the party, pushed them to root for Mavis Nkansah Boadu.

The area according them needs a courageous female legislator who would bring development to the area. Some of the delegates also enumerated the various social contributions Nana Akwesi Boadu Nkansah, the father of Mavis Boadu, has done to bring to bring a facelift to the Afigya Sekyere East Constituency.    

According to them, Nana Akwesi Boadu Nkansah who is currently the Chief of Nzema in the Ashanti Region has always stood as a father figure for everybody in the area.
