NPP Needs A Unifier - Longdon

Mr Philip Longdon, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant for Cape Coast North, has said only a unifier can unseat the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the constituency.

Mr Longdon, who describes himself as the “unifier”, said he was committed to marshalling all human and material resources in the constituency to wrest the seat from the NDC.

Mr Longdon, who is a land economist and businessman, said this in an interview after presenting 500 plastic chairs to the constituency over the weekend.

“My watch phrase is ‘together for victory’ and I know once we are united in the constituency, nothing is unachievable,” he said.

He also said disunity was one of the issues affecting the success of the party in the constituency. “There is so much internal bickering and this will not help us,” he noted.

Mr Longdon added that to resolve these internal squabbles he had organised some training sessions to promote unity among party members in the constituency.

He insisted that he was a better candidate for the party,  saying his work for the party both in and outside the constituency placed him in a better position to win the seat for the party.

He indicated that the party must not be too sure of winning but must work even harder to ensure landslide victory in the 2016 elections.

He indicated that though the economic hardships provided a fertile ground for the NPP to be victorious, without hard work, the party might not win the elections.

Mr Longdon pledged to help furnish the party’s offices in the constituency.
