AUDIO: Asiedu Nketia Commends Nana Addo & Later Adds..."May God Bless Him"

The General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah says Nana Addo will now be able to advise and influence his followers positively now that he has gone back on his ‘All-Die-Be-Die’ Mantra.

Flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo in a recent interview on Accra-based Starr FM, is reported to have expressed regret over his infamous remark made ahead of the 2012 general election.

According to him, it might have contributed to his defeat in 2012.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo weaned himself off the tag of violence as a result of his infamous ‘all die be die’ comment a couple of weeks ago.

Even though he had always explained and insisted that the mantra was not a call to violence but for people to stand for their rights, the opposition leader expressed regret over the twist his political opponents had put to it.

This was during a lively and heartwarming interview with Kwabena Anokye Adisi aka Bola Ray.

Asked by his host whether he had any regrets about the infamous ‘all die be die’ and ‘yen akan fuo’ comments, Nana Addo paused a few seconds and said, “What I regret is that at the time, I didn’t use the occasion to explain what had happened because it’s been twisted as if I was saying something tribalistic; or I was saying something warlike and provocative.

On the contrary, that is not what I was saying. So to that extent, yes I regret the uproar which it caused but I think that even more regretful is the inability to explain what it is that I was saying. So yes, I do regret it,” he said.

Sharing his thoughts on the issue when he passed through the studios of PeaceFM after appearing on Utv's "Adekye Nsroma" morning show, General Mosquito said “if today he has realized his all die be die mantra did not help him…he can now have the courage in advising his supporters of where they went wrong…now he will do things differently. May God help him”.

Asiedu Nketiah said since Nana Addo has realized that his ‘All Die Be Die’ Mantra caused his defeat in 2014, ‘I am sure he will know how to talk to his followers now!’
