Asamoah Gyan Emerges As Ghana�s Most Influential Sportsman

Black Stars captain and talisman, Asamoah Gyan has been named as the most influential Ghanaian sportsman in the year 2014.

At the fifth edition of GHANA’s MOST INLUENTIAL which was under the auspices of e.TV Ghana, Gyan surfaced ahead of other sportsmen like Andre Ayew and Braimah Kamoko AKA Bukom Banku who also made the list of 100 most influential Ghanaians.

Over all, Gyan was named the 25th most influential Ghanaian. Asamoah Gyan’s feats in 2014 were stupendous after winning several awards and accolades.

We was named the Best Foreign Player in Asia for the year 2014. He also emerged top scorer with 12 goals. At the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Gyan broke Roger Milla’s record of being Africa’s all-time top scorer at the World Cup.

Gyan’s scored his 6th World Cup goal in Brazil surpassing Milla’s previously held record of five. The Al Ain top marksman was also named Sports Personality of the Year at the Ghana Sports Fans Award which was powered by Happy FM.
