ADB Brouhaha: Shameless Management Will Later Blame Prez Mahama - Kuntu Blankson

Former NDC Member of Parliament for Ekumfi, George Kuntu Blankson has described the decision by management of ADB [Agricultural Development Bank] to auction their office as unfortunate and unreasonable.

He noted that, management of the bank should have reconsidered their thoughts before making such a decision publicly.

“They should be ashamed of themselves. They want to sell it and later on blame President Mahama for it,” he said on Adom FM.

ADB has been in the news lately following agitation by workers of the publicly-owned bank against decisions of the managers.

Concerns over dwindling fortunes of the Bank have caused the staff of the bank to push for the dissolution of its board.

The workers have also demanded the immediate dismissal of the bank's Managing Director, Stephen Kpordzih.

Another key issue of concern to the workers of the state-owned financial institution is the alleged sale of its landed properties in prime locations such as Airport Residential Area, Roman Ridge, Sakumono, among others.

Also, the workers say plans to sell the bank's current Head Office building known as ADB House located on the Independence Avenue in Accra is beyond their comprehension.

Earlier, reports went rival that head office had been sold for $10 million with the new rented office cost the bank GHC1 million a month.

But managers of ADB say they have suspended plans to sell the head office.
