An economic teacher at Tanyigbe Senior High School (TASH) in the Ho municipality of the Volta Region has been murdered in cold blood by some unidentified assailant in a bizarre circumstance.

The deceased, Mr. Francis Jude Kwamena Aboagye, aka Grand Father, a native of Kpando, was said to have been beheaded with his tongue, genitals, arms and legs severed.

The decapitated body of the 44 year old graduate teacher who was declared missing about two months ago was found almost decomposing in a bush at Kpando-Agudzi.

Ritual Purposes

Some residents believed he was killed for ritual purposes but the Hohoe Divisional Commander, Chief Superintendent Joseph Antwi Gyawu in an interview with Graphic Online said it was too early to arrive at such conclusions.

According to him, the police received the information on Saturday about the murder case and went to the scene to find the body already in a decomposed state.

He said although the state of the body made it difficult for easy identification, two family members have since identified the body as the deceased.

The divisional commander said a team of experts have been tasked to conduct investigations into the matter and also to establish circumstances surrounding the death.
