Engen Ghana Donates To Science Education

As part of its corporate social responsibilities, Engen Ghana Limited has being donating periodic tables to selected schools across the country.

The latest beneficiary is Mawuli School, Ho in the Volta Region.

The Periodic Tables which comes in two sizes, A3 and A4 were donated to the school to aid science education and were received by Mr Jerry Otchi of the 1988/90 Old Mawuli Students Union – OMSU and ably assisted by Mr Kofi Gbedemah of Margins ID. The presentation was done by Mr Alfred Buahing who is the head of the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Department of the company.

Mr Jerry Otchi expressed his delight in being a part of the process to help reposition science education in his alma mater and he thanked Engen Ghana Limited for the gesture. Mr Alfred Buahing said Engen Ghana Limited has found it prudent to contribute in meaningful ways to the economy and people of Ghana apart from paying taxes on time.

He said science education is one sure way Ghana can accelerate her development through the training of the next generation of leaders with the appropriate skills and the needed exposure. He also hoped that Mawuli School and the students who will benefit from the periodic tables will also make good use of the materials.
