I'll Join Dumsor Vigil - Halidu Haruna

A National Democratic Congress (NDC) communicator, who abused actress Yvonne Nelson and Lydia Forson has revealed that he would reconcile with the actresses on May 16th 2015.

This is when Alhaji Halidu Haruna who referred to the celebrities as ‘prostitutes and irresponsible’ persons joins thousands of Ghanaians to walk the streets of Accra to protest the effect of the power crisis.

“I will join them, dusmor indeed must stop…,” he said on Asempa FM’s Kukurantumi programme on Saturday adding that his reason for joining the vigil is because it has been tagged non-partisan.

Halidu Haruna who describes himself as a Former Aide of the Chief of Staff at Executive Office of the President on his facebook wall last week described the celebrities as prostitutes.

Actresses, Yvonne Nelson, Lydia Forson and Ama K Abrebrese in recent times have criticized President John Mahama for failing to solve the ‘dumsor’ crisis which is crippling the country’s economy.

The twitter hashtag #Dumsormuststop which they launched has gained several approvals.

They have since met the police and fixed the date for the programme with a venue yet to be decided.
