Justice For All Beneficiary Arrested Again

A 20-year-old ex-convict who was released after serving only two years of his 12-year sentence, courtesy Justice For All, for causing unlawful harm to his victims in the past has been rearrested for breaking into some shops.

The suspect, Ibrahim Ali, unemployed resident of Zongo Lane, was part of criminals rounded up by the Accra Region Police Command last week for breaking into a number of shops in and around Okaishie and Makola markets.

According to DCOP Christian Tetteh Yohuno, Accra Region Police Commander, on May 2 at about 2:30am, police received information that thieves were breaking into shops at Okaishie Market.

Men were immediately dispatched to the market to avert the situation. When they got to the scene, they met suspect Ibrahim Ali breaking into a jewellery shop with a pick axe, pliers, pair of scissors and a torchlight. He was subsequently arrested.

Police investigations have revealed that suspect Ibrahim Ali is responsible for a number of burglaries in Okaishie and Makola markets.

It was discovered that Ali climbs the building and breaks the roof in order to gain access to the shops, after which he enters the shop to steal.

It has also been established through police investigations that  on September 28 at about 11pm, he used the same method and entered into a shop and made away with jewelleries valued at GH¢400,000.
