The Presbyterian Church of Ghana Salvation Congregation, Mile 7- Achimota has donated an amount of GHC 10,000 to the Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon, Accra, Tuesday.

This donation was in fulfillment of a pledge to raise funds during the Lent season this year to support development projects of the Trinity Theological Seminary.

On behalf of the Salvation Congregation led by the Achimota District Minister and in-charge of the Salvation Congregation, Rev. Mrs. Felicia Adu- Kumi donated the amount which was well recieved by the President of the Seminary, Rev Dr. Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante.

According to the President of the Seminary, he is highly elated by the donation made by the church and entreated all other member churches to continue supporting the Seminary.

Rev. Mrs. Felicia Adu- Kumi also thanked the Seminary for its continuance training of religious leaders for the betterment of christianity and the country as a whole.

She also gave thanks to all members of the Salvation Congregation for their diverse support that ensured the realisation of the dream and the redemption of the pledge.  

The Trinity Theological Seminary is the primest and leading ecumenical theological tertiary in Ghana and indeed in the West Africa sub-region.

The Seminary is in existence to offer Christian training,teaching,guidance, counselling, practical experience and an enabling environment to resource leaders for holistic ministry.

It was founded in 1942 as an ecumenical effort in ministerial training by three original sponsoring churches: Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Methodist Church Ghana, and the Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

The Joint Anglican Diocesan Council of Ghana, now the Accra Diocese joined the three later, which was followed by the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church.

The Seminary now have non-sponsoring churches that have their clergy also trained. They include the African Independent Churches, Charismatic and Pentecostal Churches.
